What will I learn?
Are you passionate about fitness? Do you want to turn your hobby into a career? Would you like to work in a gym and help others achieve their fitness goals with an industry-recognised qualification? If so, this Level 2 Fitness Instructor course is perfect for you. You’ll learn how to prescribe, plan and deliver safe and effective exercise programmes and sessions within a gym or health club environment. This will include units on health and safety, anatomy and physiology for exercise, and the principles of exercise, fitness & health. As part of the course, you’ll also develop excellent customer service skills and the personal qualities you’ll need to support clients taking part in activities with you. The Manchester College is an Active IQ-approved centre, so you’ll receive high quality, industry-relevant training for this Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instruction.

What do I need to know?
If you’d like to enrol on this course, you’ll need to have a Level 1 in Maths and English, along with a keen interest in personal fitness. It’s a practical course, so you’ll need to be physically fit, and you should also have good communication & motivational skills, with the ability to work well with clients. We’ll invite you for an interview and ask you to pass some basic English and maths tests before offering you a place.
