Course description
What will I learn?
If you would like to work with young children – from birth to five years old – but want to learn the skills you’ll need around a job you currently have, this Level 3 Diploma will allow you to study part-time as you train to become an Early Years Educator. You’ll learn all about the role of an early years’ practitioner, and develop an understanding of all the legislations and frameworks currently in place. Most importantly, you’ll discover all the different methods and techniques for play, development and learning in school. The course will prepare you for work with children up to the age of five, but you will also develop your knowledge of children aged five to seven. You’ll focus on a variety of topics on a part time basis, with one day a week spent in college for theoretical work, and two days a week on placement to gain some essential practical experience.
