About

The Learning Institute

The Learning Institute provides opportunities for individuals and communities through high quality education, training and research programs that challenge personal barriers and promote social inclusion.

We have over 16 years’ experience developing and delivering courses for people looking to work with children and young people.

As a Degree, ITT, and Apprenticeship provider, we offer a nurturing environment with dedicated tutors and support for students, trainees and apprentices. We deliver a variety of programs using a flexible learning approach. Our courses are delivered locally, enabling learners to combine study with work and family commitments.

All the undergraduate programs are full-time and accredited by The University of Worcester, with delivery one day per week using a blended learning approach. This combines face-to-face and live online delivery.

Our primary and secondary postgraduate teacher training programs are school based, ensuring that trainees experience all aspects of school life, learning from outstanding, practising teachers.

The postgraduate MA courses are delivered part time over 3 years, in partnership with Newman University. Designed for those who work in education with an interest in values-led leadership or inclusion and special educational needs and disability, the MAs will enable students to develop and improve their knowledge and leadership skills, enhance their professional profile and engage in rigorous research and high-level enquiry.

We offer a range of apprenticeships across different levels and fields, enabling individuals to develop and progress within their chosen area.

At the Learning Institute we treat all learners as individuals. If you are already working in the education or health sectors and want to further your career prospects, are returning to education, or are still planning your future, we may have a program that suits you.
