IWFM Level 3 Award in Facilities Management Online Course
This online, Level 3 Award course develops your management skills and enables you to take responsibility for projects as well as to initiate projects in the field of facilities management. The program also focuses on sustainability and social responsibility issues in facilities management and deals with areas relating to operational performance, estate management and customer service.
Participants will be able to:
- Obtain factual, theoretical and procedural understanding and knowledge of field of work to complete tasks that may be complex and non-routine.
- Use appropriate practical and cognitive skills, procedures and methods to address problems that may be complex and non-routine.
- Evaluate and interpret relevant information and ideas.

- Recognise different approaches or perspectives within the area of study or work.
- Review how effective actions and methods have been.

Course content
Two mandatory units (totals 11 credits):
FM3.01 Introduction to facilities management - 6 credits
This unit addresses the definition of facilities management, its role within organisations, and how it can be set up in ways that will help the organisation to function more effectively. The unit addresses the potential impact of an organisation’s arrangements for facilities management on the organisation’s internal environment.
FM3.03 Customer and stakeholder relations in facilities management - 5 credits
This unit addresses methods to ensure that customers and other stakeholders contribute to the maintenance, and evaluation of facilities supplies and services.

Applying for IWFM Membership
Upon completion of the IWFM Level 3 Award in FM qualification you will meet the academic requirements for the Associate grade of IWFM membership.

Continuing your studies with IWFM Qualifications
You may also want to considering carrying on your studies toward aIWFM Level 3 Certificate or Diploma by adding to your level 3 credits achieved.
Or you can carry 6 credits from your level 3 towards a IWFM Level 4 Certificate or Diploma. However please note all mandatory units must still be completed.
