The purpose of this qualification is to provide specialist knowledge, skills and understanding relating to working in the police force in areas such as career aspirations, leadership skills and equality, diversity and inclusion, which can be applied to current or future employment.The content has been developed with employers, subject experts and tutors to ensure that it’s relevant to the real world and meets the need of employers.
Who is it suitable for?
This qualification is designed to provide learners with an in-depth understanding of the principles of Policing and to allow them to explore the various avenues of work within it. It will also allow learners to gain transferable skills that can be applied to the workplace or further study.What are the entry requirements?
Entry is at the discretion of the centre. However, learners should be aged 16 or above to undertake this qualification.How is this qualification structured?
To achieve the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Policing, learners must successfully complete 4 mandatory units and 14 optional units.How is it assessed?
Internal assessment. Portfolio of evidence.Do you need to be working to take this qualification?
Experience in the workplace is not required for this qualification.What related qualifications can you progress to?
