The Ahoy Centre - Apprenticeship Training
AHOY provides watersports, customer service and teambuilding training for over 450 young people per year from deprived groups; 20% have disabilities/special education needs.
AHOY has grown from a 300sqm training centre with 6 boats & 120 learners to 800sqm in 2016 with 36 boats, 450 learners per year including 10 Apprentices. AHOY also runs annual sponsored "Rowing Challenges" for community & employer engagement.
AHOY is an accredited centre, delivering 24 qualifications and Apprenticeships in Activity Leadership, Team Leading, Customer Service, Boatbuilding & Carpentry.
AHOY provides intensive support to ensure apprentices sustain employment and complete apprenticeships.
AHOY is based in Deptford and can support apprentices throughout London.
