Course description
The Dual Use Exporter
Goods, technology, software can come under export controls because of inherent capabilities, the type of materials or technical abilities. The Dual-Use controls, determined by the Wassenaar Arrangement, needs to be understood especially as once the UK has left the EU dual-use items will need export licences.
This new Virtual Learning course is an excellent review of the Dual-Use Control Lists for beginners to this area of international trade or if you are seeking a refresher session. From 1 January 2021, goods, technology and software that could freely circulation between the UK and the 27 Member States of the EU will require export licensing controls. The seminar with look at the General Licences that the UK and EU27 have in place to ease the introduction of these new controls but they bring compliance responsibilities and exporters will be subject to official audits. It will also review the dual-use control lists so you can assess whether your goods, software or technology is controlled before being challenged by the authorities. Avoid delays, fines and penalties by getting prepared as soon as possible for this significant change to trading with the EU.
