Course description
Preparing for a Customs Audit
Essential guide on preparing your organisation for customs audits includes a look at AEO requirements – with practical tips and case studies through-out. A timely course aimed at assisting traders in preparing and planning for Customs Audits. HMRC are putting more responsibilities on traders and intend to run stricter audits with the hope of rating companies as “compliant” so they can concentrate on non-compliant companies. Even without this change in HMRC policy and the introduction of civil penalties and fines on both import and export errors a company should be able to self-audit rather than await the Customs visit. The aim of the day is to run through standard procedural requirements, the documents to be retained, tools to assist your organisation as well as looking at special responsibilities for duty relief regimes, valuation issues, preference and Intrastat. The full day session gives Participants the option to home in on areas important to their trade. Participants will leave the day with ideas and sample procedures, checklist and audit requirements.

The trainer was very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain a topic if I am unsure of anything.
The presentation was very well laid out, easy to understand and follow. Enough information given for someone new to the topic.

The trainer was very clear and thorough when explaining and teaching. Although it was a whole day course it was still engaging.
