NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Mental Health Awareness
What does this qualification cover?
This qualification aims to raise awareness of mental health and a range of mental health conditions.
Who is it suitable for?
This qualification is designed for any learner that wants to raise their awareness of mental health and the problems that can cause mental ill health.
These may be learners who wish to access this training with a view to progressing to further qualifications or employment within health and social care, to complement other qualifications in apprenticeship frameworks within health or health and social care, or to develop in their current job role within health and social care.
Learners should be 16 to undertake the qualification.
What are the entry requirements?
There are no specific prior qualifications needed to access this qualification, although learners may find it useful to have previously achieved a Level 1 qualification in a health, social care or mental health related area.
How is this qualification structured?
To be awarded the Level 2 Certificate in Mental Health Awareness, learners are required to successfully complete 10 mandatory units.
How is it assessed?
To be awarded the Level 2 Certificate in Mental Health, learners must successfully demonstrate their achievement of all learning outcomes and assessment criteria for the mandatory units. Grades are not awarded.
The Level 2 Certificate in Mental Health is internally assessed.
