Course description
90 or 180 Credit Course
Achieve a 90-credit diploma in your first year of study then top up to 180 credits on the extended diploma in the second year. The extended diploma gives you much more detail on the subject — it's the same as three A-levels and is a great route into university. If you already have 90 credits from another college, you can choose to top up to the extended diploma with just one year of study.
Introduction
From a fast paced technical football simulated game on a PlayStation4 to a simple tile matching puzzle on an android app - a game designer can be involved in the creation of games on many platforms or devices. Depending on the size of a project, a games designer can work in a team of over a thousand members. For instance, the Grand Theft Auto game needed such a large studio it had to work over multiple sites and had approximately a thousand-person team. At South Thames College, our expert tutors focus on developing our students creative set of skills in the design and production stages of Games Development, whilst also getting to grips with the latest equipment.
