Functional Skills English
This free course in Functional Skills English will help you improve your skills and gain a nationally recognised qualification: City & Guilds Functional Skills English at Entry Level, Level 1 or Level 2.
The course is designed to:
- Help you at work
- Refresh your skills in reading, writing and verbal communication
- Improve your chances of getting a job or changing career
- Help you with everyday activities such as writing letters and helping your children with their school work
- Build your confidence
- Develop your English skills to enable you to progress onto other courses like GCSEs
Functional Skills English is about using English in the real world, so these topics will be put into an everyday, practical context so that you can demonstrate that you can use your knowledge outside of the course.

This course is FREE if you are aged 19+ and have lived in the EU for the past 3 years and currently living in England outside of Greater Manchester, Liverpool City, Cambridge & Peterborough, Tees Valley and West Midlands.
