Course description
Essential Japanese 1 is a semi-intensive 1-week course of 10 hours aimed at those looking for a rapid introduction to contemporary spoken Japanese for the purposes of being able to understand and speak basic, everyday Japanese.
The aim of the course is to provide an introduction to contemporary Japanese. By the end of the course, students will have acquired a basic working vocabulary and some grammatical structures that will enable them to communicate within a limited range of situations. The course is equally suitable for those who want simply to get the most out a holiday to Japan and for those who are new to the language and would like to take the first step in studying it (See also Essential Japanese 2).
The course is taught in small groups with a maximum of fifteen students per group.
The course is taught in Japanese and English. Class size is limited to fifteen to allow for close intensive interactive practice.

Mode of Attendance: 18:00-20:00 Monday to Friday
