Course description
Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools Level 2 Certificate: This is a recognised qualification for people working in schools with children and young people aged 5-18 years. You attend College three hours a week for between 30-39 weeks. You study topics such as supporting learning activities, helping to improve team practice and maintaining & supporting classroom relationships. This will improve your employment prospects and enable you to work in a school setting. This course starts on the following dates: 10/09/19, 05/11/19, 07/01/20, 25/02/20, 21/04/20, 02/06/20.Entry requirements:You must be 18 or over, and able to evidence a Level 1 English qualification or above, as this course requires a good level of English. You need to have basic ICT skills to complete the electronic portfolio. If your ICT skills are weak, please let us know and we can provide support with this. You need to have recently completed a minimum of 140 hours of voluntary or paid work experience in a childcare setting before starting the course. As you will be assessed in the workplace, you are expected to remain in the same childcare setting (on a voluntary/paid basis) for a minimum of 14 hours per week, for the length of the course. We will obtain a reference from your employer prior to you starting on the course.After successful completion, you may wish to progress on to a Level 3 qualification.
