Course description
What will I learn?
Gain a solid grounding in the skills needed for a career in the sports industry. Participate in different sports and study a wide range of areas including sport psychology, working with children, fitness testing and sports coaching, focusing on the technical and tactical awareness of the athlete in sport. You are encouraged to be reflective - looking at your own performance, setting personal targets, monitoring and evaluating an action plan to improve performance. You will also gain valuable work experience as part of this course. You will be required to buy recommended College sportswear as well as a football kit, boots and trainers. You are expected to make a contribution to the cost of organised tours or visits relating to the course.

What do I need to know?
• 4 GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above, including English & maths. If you do not have grade 4 (C) or above in both subjects the minimum for the other subject is grade 3 (D).orA full Level 2 at Pass grade or above with maths & English grades equivalent to those stated above.** Students with grade 3 (D) in either English or maths will be expected to re-take that subject in Year 1.
