Counselling Skills Level 2 Certificate: These distance learning courses start on a regular basis and will enhance the knowledge of anyone working in Health & Social Care, improving their practice and also counting towards their Continuing Professional Development (CPD).You must be 18 or over to enrol. These courses require a good level of English and you will take an assessment held at Shipley College to confirm your place. These courses are delivered via distance learning and take up to 14 weeks to complete. To succeed on a distance learning course, you must be motivated to meet deadlines and produce detailed quality work without supervision.Normally, the fees are �300, but a 100% fee reduction may apply to you if you are in receipt of benefits and actively seeking employment or employed and on a low income.All distance learning courses start on the following dates: 04/09/19, 03/10/19, 04/11/19, 07/01/20, 05/02/20, 05/03/20, 30/03/20, 05/05/20, 10/06/20 and 02/07/is course introduces you to the theory and principles that form the basis of counselling and how to put this in to practice. You learn how to use counselling skills in everyday life and work, and how to appropriately engage in a helping interaction. Please note, part of this qualification involves a short 5-minute role play practical which will take place in college on the following dates - 25/09/19, 16/10/19, 27/11/19, 28/01/20, 26/02/20, 26/03/20, 22/04/20, 20/05/20, 08/07/20, 22/07/20.
