Course description
This qualification will provide school leavers with an excellent and advanced level of knowledge in Health and Social Care. They are designed to incorporate 200 hours of placement, across two years, so are an excellent route into employment. The Diploma takes one academic year to complete. You will study units in the areas of anatomy, psychology, sociology and practice. Upon completion of the two-year qualification you could gain sufficient points to enter Higher Education. You will be assessed mainly through coursework, plus two externally assessed controlled assessments (one in each year). This qualification can lead to a vast range of careers, and you can advance to employment or university.
