Paint and Pint: Always fancied painting but never had the confidence to give it a go? Come along to our new Paint & Pint sessions!
You can focus on a new technique and theme each week within a relaxed and friendly studio atmosphere, amongst other like-minded folk. There will also be beer (or wine) provided during the session for you to enjoy.
This short course will introduce you to the basics of painting techniques. You�ll get the opportunity to try working with a range of materials, and focus on a different theme each week, whether it be still life, portraiture, working from photographs, or colour.
You�ll be encouraged to have a group discussion at the start of each class around the theme for the week where you�ll look at artists� work connected to the subject. This will set us up nicely for our sociable evening of painting.
The tutor will offer demonstrations, guidance and tuition throughout the course. Depending on your preference you can become more disciplined in your approach to painting or become more experimental and investigate your own expressive style.
At the end of each session we�ll have a look at each other�s work and discuss everyone�s style and progress.
