Great Artists in Focus: Join Nick Pearson, artist and lecturer for a weekly in-depth look at a particular artist�s work. These lively slide lectures will give anyone the opportunity to concentrate on and appreciate a particular artist�s work with the expert guidance of an artist and art historian from the college�s School of Ideas.

Each week an artist � drawn from various periods of western art history, from the early Renaissance to the modern period � will be chosen by the course leader, in no particular historical order. All talks will however give a brief historical background and will attempt, wherever possible to link each work/artist/movement to themes of contemporary relevance, as well as looking at artists' techniques, influences etc.
� Each lecture will be followed up by email with comprehensive notes
� This course of lectures is part of our School of Ideas offer.
� No prior knowledge or art education required.
� All lectures are self-contained and learners may join the course in any of the three terms
