The Highfield Level 2 Award in the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) is specifically designed to meet the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) requirements for training. On completion of this course, delegates will be able to:

Outline the duties relating to hazardous substances at work.

Define key terms such asrisk,hazardous substanceandrisk assessment.

State the different forms that hazardous substances can take.

Outline the process of risk assessment.

Identify how risk assessments reduce accidents and ill-health at work.

Identify the risk control hierarchy for hazardous substances.

Identify common COSHH symbols.

State general procedures that should be in place when dealing with an incident involving hazardous substances.
