NEW Introduction to Life Sculpture
You will be taught the basic skills of clay modelling from life including comparisons, measuring , basic proportions and how to assess with plenty of demos and handouts. You'll be introduced to the material. For each new project, you'll have demos, handouts or see examples of artist's work to inspire you. The course is designed to be taken a term at a time, or complete all 3 terms to gain confidence and a good understanding of modelling. Each term varies and with different poses with a life model.

Suitability - Who should attend?
Suitable for complete beginners who have never done clay modelling or students who have not used clay for a while or need to gain confidence.

What will I achieve? You will learn the basic principles of observational life sculpture and be shown how to interpret visual information. You'll have been introduced to the materials and you'll have. The aim of the course is to help you to develop your observational skills further and build your confidence when interpreting and recording
Course delivery details
Materials Required: What to bring to the first session: Bring pencils, pens and a sketchpad initially. Most of your materials can be bought in the school shop but you will be given a list of materials needed when you join the course.
