NEW Classic Drawing & Painting (All Levels)
You will be taught the basic skills of drawing including line, space, tone, composition and how to assess proportion and perspective with plenty of demos and handouts. You'll be introduced to a variety of materials including pencil, charcoal and ink. For each new project, you'll have demos, handouts or see examples of artist's work to inspire you. The course is designed to be taken a term at a time, or complete all 3 terms to gain confidence and a good understanding of drawing and finally colour. Each term the projects in drawing vary with different media such as pencils, charcoal and inks.

Suitability - Who should attend?
Suitable for complete beginners who have never drawn or students who have not drawn for a while or need to gain confidence.
Outcome / Qualification etc.
What will I achieve? You will learn the basic principles of observational drawing and be shown how to interpret visual information. You'll have been introduced to a variety of materials and you'll have an understanding of perspective observational drawing and tone(Light and dark). The aim of the course is to help you to develop your observational skills further and build your confidence when interpreting and recording what you see.
Course delivery details
Materials Required:What to bring to the first session: Bring a range of pencils, and charcoal initially. Most of your materials can be bought in the school shop but you will be given a list of materials needed when you join the course.
