Course description
Introduction to Regulatory Ecotoxicology
Ecotoxicology is an essential practice which studies the effects toxic chemicals pose on biological organisms. Agrochemical companies are required to perform an ecotoxicological risk assessment to evaluate the effect their product will impose on the environment, with the aim to reduce and monitor the effects of pollution. As a mandatory requirement to the regulators and to the ecosystem surrounding the product, it is imperative to ensure you conduct your assessments effectively.
This online course offers a comprehensive overview of the regulatory ecotoxicology requirements for both aquatic and terrestrial environments. Over 9 modules will learn best practice for conducting risk assessments and learn about the data requirements needed to support your regulatory documentation of plant protection products (PPPs). You will also be introduced to endocrine disruptors, modelling and future developments in ecotoxicology to remain current with regulations and trends.
