Course description
A Beginner’s Guide to Endocrine Disruptors in Plant Protection Products and Biocides
Endocrine Disruptors have grown in significance within the agricultural sector as the evidence on their ability to interfere with the body's hormonal system grew. They are linked to adverse developmental, reproductive, neuroglial and immune effects in both humans and wildlife. As a result, there has been a commitment from the EU, through regulation, to reduce their use in products including agrochemicals such as plant protection products.
Over the course of 4 weeks, you will gain a solid understanding of endocrine disruptors and learn how to effectively conduct risk assessments. You will also learn how to overcome challenges associated with the various types of testing such as toxicological and ecotoxicological.
