Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is an acute general hospital on the south coast of England. The Hospital has a 24 hour major accident and emergency department and is the designated trauma unit for East Dorset, serving a population of over 500,000 people. The Trust provides general hospital services to the population of Poole, Purbeck and East Dorset as well as a range of additional services such as maternity, neonatal care, Paediatrics, oral surgery, neurology and oncology. The Trust has a well-established and resourced Education department which is accredited with several awarding bodies providing a wide range of programmes including Apprenticeships for its own staff and other Trusts and Health care providers locally.
