Course description
Introduction to Radio Broadcasting provides hands-on practical training to students seeking to learn how to produce and present a radio show. Professional broadcasters with experience on BBC, Choice FM, Kiss FM and internet radio stations guide you through the skills you need to broadcast on FM or DAB, internet radio or via podcast. Students complete a showreel CD during the course and host their own live broadcast via Point Blank's radio station. This course boasts an almost 100% record for getting students into work in radio - a fantastic success rate. If you have no previous experience and want to become a radio DJ then this course provides a great foundation from which to build your career. Graduates include Gemma Cairney (Radio One, 1Xtra, Channel 4) Monki (Rinse FM, 1Xtra) and Tayo (Radio One, Fabric). If you would like to take a more in depth programme, please take a look at the Radio Broadcasting Diploma.
