Course description
Horse Care Level 2:
This is the ideal course to build your knowledge of working with horses. You will develop essential theory and practical skills to further your understanding of the care of horses. The Level 2 course is offered from Certificate to Extended Certificate and Diploma levels. Subjects studied include:
- Undertake routine stable duties and horse handling
- Fit and maintain horse tack and clothing
- Undertake horse grooming, trimming and plaiting
- Care for competition horses
- Introduction to lungeing horses.
By completing this course, you'll be able to go on to complete a Level 3 Horse Management course of Work-based Diploma. Careers include Groom within competition, livery, dressage or showing yards and yard manager.
