Course description
This is a uniquely structured programme to meet the needs of Forest School Leaders and covers all the components of Paediatric & Early Years First Aid in addition to Outdoor First Aid. It is delivered within a Forest/ Woodland environment where all the risks of working with young people in delivering Forest School can be considered. These environments are often viewed to be remote and there is a strong focus on emergency planning and the possibility of delays in emergency services response times. Training additionally includes dealing with injuries sustained in the outdoors, from cuts and grazes to broken limbs, head and back injuries and hypothermia. As well as planning and preparation for possible delays in emergency service attendance times, evacuation planning for casualties and additional problems for the first aider when working in the outdoors.
Our Forest School Training Courses and CPD can lead to an exciting and dynamic career working with children, young people or adults, in natures ‘wild spaces’.
