Explore contemporary issues, examine employability matters and accelerate your understanding of the construction industry. This 8-week Continuing Professional Development (CPD) course is your first step to a senior management role in a global sector.
Delivered by the School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment, this online course covers smart construction, innovative construction methods and sustainable principles of project management.
One of the school’s biggest strengths is our global network of trusted industry partners which you will be introduced to throughout the course to help develop your practical knowledge.
After successfully completing this course you will be able to:
- review, critically evaluate and analyse a broad range of issues affecting the construction industry
- evaluate the benefits and challenges of smart construction and building information modelling (BIM) and consider the future of digitisation of the construction industry
- discuss and evaluate current and evolving developments within the sector
- identify industry problems and apply knowledge gained in proposing solutions.
At the end of the 8-week course, you will be awarded a CPD certificate (worth 10 academic credits).
Passing the assessed element (an exam or coursework) can also contribute credit towards the Online MSc Construction Project Management offered by Nottingham Trent University. All candidates seeking credit will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. If you wish to follow the credit route you must mention this on your application form.
