Mental Health First Aid and Mental Health Awareness
Need 2 Succeed in collaboration with Ian Beever Consultancy and Training are focused on supporting local organisations make a positive change to their workplaces to ensure they’re both physically and mentally safe for their workers, clients, contractors and volunteers.
2 Day Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an internationally recognised training course, designed to teach people how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill-health and provide help on a first aid basis. In the same way as learning physical first aid, MHFA teaches people how to recognise those crucial warning signs of mental ill-health and feel confident to guide someone to appropriate support. Embedding MHFA training within any organisation or community also encourages people to talk more freely about mental health, reducing stigma and creating a more positive culture.
Half Day Mental Heath Award Course: Our half-day course is an introductory four-hour session to raise awareness of mental health. Learning takes place through a mix of presentations, group discussions and workshop activities. We limit numbers to 16 people per course so that the instructor can keep people safe and supported while they learn.
