Outcome / Qualification etc.
Successful candidates will obtain an NPORS ‘National Plant Operators Registration Scheme’ card on completion. Those requiring the CSCS-embossed Red Trained Operator card (2 year validity) will need to have a valid CITB HS&E test; during this 2 year period candidates will need to achieve the relevant plant operations NVQ that will enable them to upgrade their Blue Competent Operator card (5 year validity).
Alternatively, candidates not holding a valid CITB HS&E test will only be eligible to receive the traditional 5 year NPORS operator card, however this doesn’t carry the CSCS logo and isn’t as widely recognised.
