Level 2 Work Ready (Animal Care)
Animal Management students have access to an exciting range of specialist resources at the College. Our Animal Welfare Centres house a wide range of animals from meerkats and snakes to llamas and rabbits. You will use the Animal Welfare Centre to develop your animal care skills and complete behavioural observations. As part of your course you will undertake commercial experience, where you will learn and develop practical husbandry skills that will be vital for your future in animal care and management.

Suitability - Who should attend?
Entry Requirements
A pass grade or better at Level one. 2 or more GCSE's at grade 3 or better with English and maths at grade 3 or better.
Continuing Studies
Careers
After successful completion of the course learners can expect to pursue a number of animal related career opportunities: For example: Pet Store assistant, Kennel, cattery assistant, dog grooming assistant, farm worker, animal charity worker, animal care assistant.
Progression Opportunities
Successful learners can enter the animal welfare industry and into a job with training (apprenticeship) or into full time employment.
