Course description
This course will teach you some of the basic and intermediate skills to make the most of Excel. By the end of the course you will be able to: Explain the structure and components of a function; Use the following Excel functions: SUM, AVERAGE, MODE, MEDIAN, COUNT, COUNTIF, COUNTIFS; Solve practical domestic and work-place problems using Excel; Use Excel Help to understand how any Excel function works; Learn more advanced Excel terminology; Develop simple charts. After completion of this course, you will move onto: Advanced Excel at South Thames College.

Suitability - Who should attend?
Students need to have completion of the South Thames Beginners Excel course. Or, you will need to be familiar with Excel fundamentals, for example data formats (number, text etc.), making simple formulae to add, subtract etc. and understand basic Excel navigation and terminology.
