Course description
If you are considering a career in counselling or want to enhance your role in the work place, you will learn a range of counselling skills on this course. At the end of the course you should be able to apply the skills you have learnt in a counselling session and understand their relevance to practice. Topics include: Theory and tutor led group discussions; Triad skills practice; Personal development group.
Assessment includes: Includes self-assessment and peer evaluation. You should schedule around two hours per week of personal study time outside of the normal hours to enhance your own development on the course. You must pass both the internal and external assessment. After completion of this course, you can move onto the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB) Level 3 course.
