Course description
Depression is a major cause of impaired quality of life, reduced productivity, and increased mortality. Social difficulties are common (e.g. social stigma, loss of employment, marital break-up). People with depression can experience an exacerbation of pain and distress related to physical diseases.
This course is suitable for anyone wishing to update and enhance their knowledge around depression.
It does not cover post-natal depression or bipolar affective disorder. Bipolar affective disorder is covered in a separate short course.
