Introduction
This virtual classroom seminar aims to provide practitioners with an in-depth guide to Magistrates’ Court proceedings under Part 5 POCA which deal with civil forfeiture (and associated orders).
Civil forfeiture is becoming much more prevalent as the Government and law enforcement takes note of the wide array of powers available under Part 5.
Extensions to the original legal framework now encapsulate a widening variety of assets: there are statutory provisions (in the Economic Crime and Corporate Tranparcency Act) dealing with crypto assets.
The session provides practitioners with not only the legal and procedural background but also practical advice and tips.
