Course description

This introductory level virtual classroom session will discuss the applications for permission to act as a director despite disqualification under s17 of the Company Directors Disqualification Act 1986 (CDDA 1986).


It will explore what factors may be taken into account by the court when deciding whether to allow leave or not to include the jurisdiction, parties and the application procedure and the conditions that might be imposed by the court.


Presenter Tania Clench is a Legal Director at Cripps LLP who, over the past 20+ years, has developed recognised expertise in director protection, advising directors of companies in financial distress or those that have entered an insolvency process, as well as defending them in all manner of proceedings including disqualification.
