Presented by Neil Morrison, this 1 hour update will explore the key concepts relevant to an action of defamation by reference to the new Defamation and Malicious Publication (Scotland) Act 2021 Act which came fully into force in August 2022. Recent case law in Scotland and elsewhere in the UK will also be considered.
Neil is an advocate at the Scottish Bar specialising in commercial litigation. He is currently the Course Organiser for the construction law elective on the University of Edinburgh’s DPLP course, and also tutors contract law and unjustified enrichment at the University of Edinburgh’s Law School.
