Course description
This comprehensive course is designed for those working, or planning to work, with young children in the first six years of life. It is about the human being from pre-birth to maturity, focusing especially on the child between 2½ to 6+ years old.
Students study the essentials of Montessori theory in depth and learn how to apply this in practice under the guidance of experienced tutors.
The course includes Montessori philosophy, child development, building the human personality, the laws of psychological growth, the successive phases of development and characteristics, the role and attitude of the Montessori teacher, the preparation of a Montessori environment along with the integrated study of how to develop each child’s potential.
The course can be taken as a summer course (July-August 2019, 2020 & 2021) or as a variety of Academic Year courses (September - June): One Year (day course, Monday - Friday), Two Year (day course, 3 days per week), and Two Year (3 evenings evenings per week, 4 saturdays per year)
The AMI (Association Montessori Internationale) Diploma is known and respected the world over.
Courses take place at our training premises at Riding House Street in Fitzrovia, London.
