Course description
Conflict within a workplace can appear in many forms, from personality conflicts between employees to employee and supervisor issues.
Being able to identify when there is potential for conflict and interject to prevent it from occurring or having the skills to mediate conflict to a peaceful resolution are important skills to develop for any team leader or manager.
This 1-day course will equip you with the knowledge of conflict management strategies and the practical skills to take steps to help to resolve situations of conflict.
Conflict resolution is one of the most important skills that you can learn and develop as a team leader or a manager.
This course will enable you to identify various types of workplace conflict and apply proven strategies to manage the conflict effectively through a series of practical exercises and discussions.
You will also be provided with a workbook that is completed through out the training to takeaway.

Anyone who experiences or has experienced workplace conflict between another colleague or colleagues that they manage.
People who want standard mechanisms for dealing with conflict in a timely manner, so that they can minimise the effects within the organisation.
You do not need prior experience in conflict management.

At the end of the 1-day Conflict Management course you should be able to:
- Define the meaning of conflict and appreciate how it can develop
- List the three different types of conflict that can occur in an organisation
- Appreciate your own natural preference when dealing with specific challenging situations
- Understand the strategy behind effective conflict resolution between two parties
- State how to facilitate conflict when others are disagreeing over issues
- Explain how to successfully make an intervention to stop poor or disruptive behaviour in a team environment
- Be more proactive and assertive when dealing with conflict in order to minimise the impact on others performance and productivity
Course delivery details
Our 5-star rated Conflict Management training courses are practical courses with small class sizes, and a maximum of 6 delegates, which allows for plenty of time to interact with the trainer and ask any questions!
These are held as in-person classroom courses or as live, online courses (over Zoom). All courses, run from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, with plenty of breaks.
