Conference & Meeting Management Principles
- Introduction to Exhibition management course
- CEM exam brief
- Competent planning and management of meetings
- Work closely with their organization’s meeting and education manager
- Essential aspects of meetings in all of their various formats
Day 2
Event Marketing and Sales
- Identify the marketing activities used in the hospitality and tourism industry; know the difference
- between marketing and advertising.
- Identify the role of marketing in the hospitality and tourism industry and the purpose of measuring
- return on investment (ROI) for all marketing efforts.
Day 3
Event Operations | Safety & Security
- Identify the purpose of maintaining a safe, healthy environment for guests and employees.
- Identify the role of occupational safety and the purpose of a job safety analysis report in providing
- safe work conditions to employees.
- Explain the risk management process and the use of the 14 elements of a health and safety program in the workplace.
- Identify the purpose of resorts, cruise lines, recreational vehicles, and tent camping in the hospitality and tourism industry.
Day 4
Housing & Registration Management
- Additional services provided to attendees and exhibitors
- Working knowledge of hotel operations
- Arranging for accommodations of guests
- Identifying which guests will be allowed access to which portion of the event
- Ensure housing and registration are easily accessed
Day 5
Strategic Planning & Management
- Plan, manage or own exhibitions and events to remain competitive
- Define and review their strategies
- Measure where an event falls within a particular market segment
- Position the exhibition or event to meet or beat the competition
- Develop plans to ensure business continuity and success.
