Course description
This is a one year full-time course delivering all the skills and qualifications required to access a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering.
Modules studied may include:
- NVQ Level 2 in Performing Engineering Operations (PEO)
- Functional Skills in English, Mathematics and ICT if necessary
- BTEC Level 2 Extended Certificate in Engineering
Successful completion of this course may, subject to the relevant company's selection process, lead to an Apprenticeship with an Engineering Company.

Suitability - Who should attend?
Minimum of four GCSEs to include Grade C/4 in Mathematics, Science and English Language; GCSE ICT and a technology subject would also be an advantage. You will be required to produce a satisfactory reference and attendance record. Due to high demand there is a competitive interview process to check for suitability. At interview, you will be asked to show something that you have produced, assembled or made.
