Course description
This Apprenticeship pathway develops knowledge and skills relating to the Early Years Educator and is suitable for those employed, or looking to join, the Children and Young People’s Workforce or Early Years Workforce sector working with children from birth to 19 years.
This Apprenticeship pathway also supports the development of a highly qualified, well skilled workforce within the Early Years sector, and ensures that children and young people accessing services in England gain the best possible care and support.
Benefits to your Business : Recruiting apprentices enables employers to fill the skills gaps that exist within their current workforce as apprentices begin to learn sector specific skills from Day 1; developing specialist knowledge that will positively affect the business.
The course is structured around four themes: Health and wellbeing; Legislation, frameworks and professional practice; Play, development and learning for school readiness; Professional development.
On successful completion of this Intermediate Apprenticeship, learners can progress onto the Advanced Apprenticeship for the Children & Young People’s Workforce (Early Years Educator Pathway) from which it is possible to go onto the Foundation Degree programme in a relevant study area.
