Course description
A full time, practical course for those interested in the design, development and manufacture of engineering products. The course covers a wide range of engineering subjects and activities including workshop skills such as using hand tools and machines, making and testing electronic circuits, engineering materials, engineering mathematics and science. The course is divided into a number of units which are assessed using a variety of methods including practical activities, assignments and tests.
On completion students progress to any Level 3 Diploma in Engineering course or gain employment as an Apprentice in an engineering company.

Suitability - Who should attend?
Four GCSEs grade D/3 or above including Mathematics, Science and English, or Level 1 Award with two Merit grades including Mathematics or Science. Satisfactory references, attendance record and interview are also required.
