CISRS - Scaffold Inspection Training Scheme (SITS) Basic Level
This CISRS accredited course will develop your understanding of scaffolding components, forms of construction and the inspection procedures for basic access scaffolds and how to comply with current legislation and Codes of Practice.
Course Aims
Who Should Attend
The course is suitable for experienced scaffold inspectors, management/supervision who are responsible for inspecting scaffolds and completing the site reports in accordance with the Work at Height Regulations.
All applicants must hold a valid HS&E Test taken in the last 2 years prior to attending the course.
CISRS do accept some other industry recognised Health and Safety qualifications as an exemption to the HS&E test. Those listed below must be completed within 2 years of the date of application.
Pre-Requisites
One of the following Pre-Requisites are required:
- participant holds a current CISRS Scaffolder card
- participant holds a current CISRS Advanced Scaffolder card
- participant holds a current CISRS Scaffolding Supervisor card
- participant holds a current or expired CISRS Basic Inspection card and is attending the course in order to renew their card
- participants have previously attended a one-day scaffold inspection/awareness course at least 2 years before.
- The participant has worked in one of these roles for over two years (CV and letter from employer to confirm awareness of scaffold structures gained from role).

Certification
participants successfully completing the course will receive a CISRS accredited certificate will be awarded upon successful completion of this course.
The participant will be required to successfully complete both the practical inspection and report writing assessment as well as the Theory test in order to pass the course.
