Course description
This course is suitable for those who have already studied Russian for about one year. The approach of the course is primarily conversational, although all four skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) are developed and practised. A variety of topics, authentic materials and interactive activities are used to expand and enrich students’ vocabulary, grammar and cultural knowledge. By the end of the course you will have been given the opportunity to: talk about dates, greet people on special occasions, express your opinion, talk about holidays and holiday accommodation, ask and report on what has happened, express concern and purpose, present formal and informal letters. You will also have covered the following main grammar points: dates and time, expressions, conditional, superlative, indirect statement, prefixed verbs of motion, indirect questions, pronouns: personal, reflexive, interrogative, demonstrative, determinative.
