Course description
This course will suit people who have already studied Japanese for one term or who have studied the textbook "Japanese For Busy People 1" up to lesson 9. The aim of the course is to develop your confidence and ability to communicate effectively and express opinions in authentic situations such as social occasions and everyday conversation. Students are expected to be confident using hiragana. The focus of the course is on all for skills, particularly speaking, listening and reading. Basic grammar will be explained to help understand the structure of the language. At the end of the course you will have been given the opportunity to: learn new grammatical structures to improve your conversational skills (The "masu" form and its formation and use/ adjectives and its formation and use); learn and recognise hiragana; talk about events, everyday doings, and characteristics of things and people.
