Course description
This course is suitable as a progression route for students who have completed the InDesign and/or the Photoshop beginners courses and aimed at those who wish to extend their artistic skills toward the commercial graphics industry, whether that be within the print or interactive mediums.Graphic Design is the process of choosing, organising and combining words, images and space into a form that communicates and influences its audience. This short course will show you how to transfer your concept ideas into digital documents ready for print and/or web. By the end of this course you will have learnt the basics of: typography, Fonts, styles and point sizes, Grid based page layout and design, Composition - Colour, line, shape, scale, size, texture, space and balance, Vectors and Bitmaps, CMYK and RGB for print and web, Photo manipulation, Transferring your concept sketches into digital documents, Saving documents for print and web.

Suitability - Who should attend?
Whilst previous experience in Adobe Photoshop and or InDesign is not necessary, it is essential that you have basic computer skills and an element of understanding.
