Learn with over 70 animal species on campus, developing the practical skills, qualifications and experience that employers are looking for through our unique Hartpury Certificate initiative. Animals include reptiles, invertebrates, domestic and non-domestic species, as well as livestock.

Training Course Content
The units listed below reflect the subjects currently offered on this course but are subject to change:
- Plan and monitor animal feeding
- Manage animal accommodation
- Maintain animal health and welfare
- Introduction to the principles and practices of animal behaviour and handling
- Introduction to animal breeds and grooming
- Understand the principles of animal biology
- Undertake work related experience in the land-based industries
Expenses
Hartpury College is state funded, and therefore eligible UK-based students do not need to pay tuition fees. Extra fees may be required for accommodation, meals, field trips, specialist kit and other items.
