BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Sport - 16-18 year olds only
Unit 1: Fitness Testing and training
Unit 2: Practical Sport
Unit 7: Planning and Leading Sports Activities
Unit 8: Technical Skills and Tactical Awareness for Sport
Unit 10: Nutrition for Sports Performance)
Unit 11: Development of Personal Fitness
Unit 20: Planning and running a Sports Event
All full-time students will have a personal tutor and access to a wide range of enrichment activities. Your course will give you an opportunity to develop skills in numeracy, literacy and communication, including speaking and listening skills.
Suitability - Who should attend?
- Entry requirements
- 4 GCSE grades 3/4 preferably including English and/or maths or a Merit on a relevant level 1 qualification. - Places are subject to a successful football trial. - You must have a keen interest in football and coaching.
- Who is the course for?
This course option is for those with proven playing ability, which will be selected by trial, who seek a first class education and have predicted grades 3/4 at GCSE level and want to work in the sports industry.
Continuing Studies
Entry to the BTEC level 3 in sports performance, paid or unpaid work in the community.
