Overview
This short course is delivered through blended learning (combining attendance at University and on-line learning). It is designed to offer current explanations of attachment theory in relation to the complex and diverse needs of children with a history of trauma.
The knowledge you gain from this course may prompt you to explore or extend a career in child care or a related field such as social work, youth work or psychology. You are likely to also consider the role you play in responding to children you encounter in different aspects of your life.
This course will be suitable to you if:
- You work in residential or foster care or are considering a career in this direction;
- You have some experience and want to develop your career;
- You have some experience and want to gain additional qualifications;
- You find it difficult to access opportunities for training and development.
